This unique silver coin is dedicated to the caribou, an animal of great significance in North American culture and history. The design follows the silhouette of a caribou, within which appears the iconic image by Emanuel Hahn, well known from the Canadian 25-cent coin. Struck from 0.9999 fine silver with selective gold plating in Proof quality, the coin is complemented by an obverse featuring the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Susannah Blunt. It is presented in an original case and a special capsule that highlights its unusual shape. The mintage is limited to just 1,200 pieces.
